Secret Roles

Secret Roles is an offline role dealer for people sharing one iPhone or iPad. The app is designed so nothing entered or created in the app leaves that device.
- No third-party analytics.
- Secret Roles contains no analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not send usage events, diagnostics, device information, network information, or identifiers to an analytics provider.
- No advertising or tracking.
- The app contains no advertising, ad-network SDK, advertising identifier, or tracking technology. It does not track anyone across apps, websites, or services.
- Nothing is shared or stored off the device.
- Secret Roles has no account system, login, backend, cloud sync, or networking code. It does not transmit user or device data to Human Renaissance or to any third party, and no app data is stored on external servers.
- Player names stay on the device.
- Players enter display names only so the app can assign and reveal roles on the shared device. The most recent roster is saved in the app’s local storage for the optional Use Last Players feature. It is never transmitted, shared, or available to us. Starting a new game replaces the saved roster; deleting the app removes it.
- No other personal or device data.
- The app does not collect names as identity data, email addresses, birth dates, accounts, location, contacts, photos, audio, camera or microphone data, purchase history, IP addresses, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers. Roles and other current-game state are processed only on the device.
- Built for families without data collection.
- Secret Roles can be used by children and families. Its current App Store privacy disclosure is Data Not Collected, and its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes these practices, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before the new practice begins, and obtain any permission required by Apple or applicable law.
